A homoeopathic medicine that assists in the treatment of colds, rhinitis, nasal catarrh and post nasal drip.

Sneezing, runny nose, scratchy throat, hoarse voice, blocked nose, sensitive eyes, typical cold symptoms.

Mode of action

The remedies used in this preparation are effective particularly in assisting the treatment of head colds, including runny nose (coryza), post-nasal drip and the associated symptoms caused by inflammation of the respiratory passages.

Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 10 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals. Discontinue once improvement occurs.

Children 6-12 years:
Take 5 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.

Children 2-6 years:
Take 2 drops on the tongue, or directly under the tongue or in a teaspoon of water 4 times daily 15 minutes before meals.

In acute/severe cases:
Take the relevant number of drops according to your/your child’s age hourly, gradually reducing frequency as improvement occurs, or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare provider.

Ingredient Homeopathic Clinical Indication*
Aralia racemosa D2 (American Spikenard) Colds after exposure to cold air with excessive sneezing and watery, burning runny nose. Colds always develop into chest infections with tight, chesty dry cough which is significantly worse when lying down and in the first part of the night.
Hedera helix D5 (Common Ivy) Morning coughs and nasal congestion which are worse in warm stuffy rooms and better in fresh air. Colds with tight chest and coughing which starts at about 3AM. Frontal sinusitis with headache and inflammation of pharynx and larynx with hoarseness.
Hydrastis canadensis D4 (Goldenseal) Colds with excessive mucous production in the sinus, nose, throat and chest which is typically thick and yellow and stringy. Important remedy for colds leading to mucopurulent sinusitis and postnasal discharge with headache and pressure above left eye.
Luffa operculata D6 (Loofah) Colds with forceful sneezing and itching inside the nose with yellow or white nasal mucous in the morning but clear during the day. Typical ‘head colds’ with blocked/runny nose, sinus pain and dull headache causing mental dullness, fatigue and poor concentration.
Pulsatilla pratensis D6 (Pasque flower) Colds with excessive production of thick, yellow-green mucous and congestion which is better in fresh open air. Colds with sinusitis and development of sticky mucous in the eyes. Sinusitis with loss of smell or bad smell in the sinuses from infection and a dry cough at night which is wet and productive in the morning. Very emotional, tearful and weepy during colds.
Sambucus nigra D2 (Elder) Colds with dry and blocked nose forcing mouth breathing especially in infants and nurselings. Fits of suffocating, asthmatic like cough or croup attacks after midnight.
Sarothamnus scoparius D1 (Scotch Broom) Colds with blocked nose alternating sides, tingling inside the nose and excessive sneezing. Ticking in the throat and larynx causing a dry cough.
